Soft glam is the most-requested bridal makeup look today. It’s more polished and defined than “natural”, but softer than full glam: diffused eyes, fluffy lashes, sculpted cheeks and glowing skin, with no harsh lines anywhere.

Soft glam, step by step

  1. Skin: satin, medium-coverage long-wear foundation, with concealer only where needed.
  2. Sculpt: soft contour under the cheekbones, then cream blush layered with powder.
  3. Eyes: a warm brown blended through the crease, a deeper brown at the outer corner, and a soft shimmer on the centre of the lid. Blend until there are no edges at all.
  4. Lower lash line: smudge the same brown along the outer half to connect with the crease.
  5. Lashes: fluffy, wispy strip lashes or clusters, blended with mascara.
  6. Glow: a satin highlight on the cheekbones and the inner corners of the eyes.
  7. Lips: a nude-rose or mauve, lined slightly deeper and blended softly.

Soft glam by eye colour

  • Brown eyes: warm bronze and chocolate, with a gold lid.
  • Green and hazel eyes: mauve-brown and plum at the outer corner.
  • Blue eyes: peachy brown and copper.
The soft glam secret

Blend for twice as long as you think you need to. Soft glam is defined by its blending, not by the amount of product.
