About us
About Bridal Makeup Artist
We teach bridal makeup the way it should be taught: clearly, step by step, and for every face.
Bridal Makeup Artist started with a simple observation. Most brides already know how to do everyday makeup. What they don’t know is how to make it last twelve hours, survive happy tears and look good in photographs. Most online tutorials skip exactly those parts.
So we built a course around them. Every lesson focuses on what makes wedding makeup different: the skin prep that starts months ahead, the layering that keeps foundation in place, the definition that the camera needs, and the planning that makes the morning calm.
Our approach
- Principles first. Once you understand why light shades bring features forward, or why undertone matters more than shade depth, you can adapt any technique to your own face.
- Every face, every tone. Each lesson includes guidance for different skin types, skin tones, eye shapes and ages, not just one “standard” face.
- Honest about products. We teach what to look for in a product rather than pushing brands. A well-chosen budget formula beats a badly chosen luxury one.
- Hygiene as standard. Clean tools and fresh products protect your skin in the most important week of the year.
Grounded in classic training
Our curriculum draws on long-established cosmetics training, including colour theory, face-shape analysis, skin typing, sanitation and client consultation, as set out in professional texts such as Debbie Purvis’s The Business of Beauty: Cosmetics Retailing (1989). We’ve rewritten and updated that groundwork for today’s products, today’s cameras and today’s brides.
Who we teach
Two kinds of student take this course: brides who want to do their own wedding makeup confidently, and makeup artists who want a dependable bridal process. The lessons work for both. Start with the free first lesson and see if it’s right for you.
